Brazil’s Marta becomes all time world cup leading scorer, both for men and women.

Six-time world player of the year Marta second-half penalty saw her become the all-time leading scorer for both the men's or women's World Cups, over taking former Germany striker, Miroslav Klose.

Her record 17th World Cup finals goals took Brazil into the last 16 with a 1-0 win over Italy.
Italy who topped the group already has qualified prior to the match and will now play against a third-placed team in the last 16, with Nigeria or China their most likely opponents.
