Sergio Aguero scored his 12th hat-trick to become the highest non English player in the English Premier League history to reach 177 goal marks.
The Argentine moved level, and then surpassed Thierry Henry’s 176 goals record, before joining Frank Lampard on 177 goals in England's top flight as ruthless Manchester City humiliated Aston Villa 0-6.
Currently, it is only former New Castle legend, Alan Shearer, former Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney, and Andy Cole that are still ahead of Aguero on the all-time Premier League top scorers list.
And during the post-match press conference, City manager, Guardiola was asked if the record-breaking City hit man was the best striker he'd ever managed.
But the reporter pressed further to be sure of what Guardiola meant, asking again if the Man City striker is the best 'out and out 'number 9':
City acquired the 31 year old striker from Atletico Madrid in 2011 for £40m.
