Nigeria’s outspoken Senator and politician, Enyinnaya Abaribe representing
the good people of Abia-South at the Red chamber has called for the immediate
resignation of Mr. President.
who is the Senate Minority Leader, made the call when as the law makers resumed
plenary after the Christmas break, and it was during the deliberation on a
motion, today 29th January
2020, on the scary rising security crisis across the country, and equally on
the urgent need for Nigeria’s security system to be reviewed and restructured
for a better result.
making his contribution to the motion, Senator Abaribe, who was the first to
contribute to the motion, faulted the president for failing to tackle the
security challenges in the country.
In his contribution to the motion, Abribe
maintained that they do not have business with the security heads in the
country, but with Mr. President who appointed them
since they are not performing optimally, as such, the President have to resign
because he has failed to secure live and properties as being the cardinal duty
of any government, and also being a major campaign of the APC during elections:
“If you want to treat
an issue, you go to the head. We did not appoint the IG or the security chiefs.
We will go to the president and ask him to resign. Nigerians voted APC
because they promised to tackle insecurity but they have failed”.
