Time to Support PUNCH news paper- Sowore urges Nigerians as FG drops the tabloid from its advertorial train.

Pro-democracy campaigner and investigative journalist, Omoyele Sowore, who was recently released by the DSS has called on Nigerians to INTENSIFY their support and patronage for the PUNCH media outfit, coming off the latest decision by the FG to omit the popular and darling tabloid from her 2020 advert train.

This may not be unconnected to PUNCH’s recent decision to be addressing the county’s president, Muhammadu Buhari as a ‘General’ instead of a ‘President’, following its alleged series of undemocratic tenets and disrespect to the rule of law.

So, Sowore has decided to stand with PUNCH, in the wake of their travails in the hands of the FG: “Today we decided to buy and read PUNCH Newspaper and hope at least one million Nigerians can purchase a copy of the revolutionary daily paper…

We did this because the Nigerian Presidency decided in its pettiness not to place an advert in PUNCH because of their uncompromising position on tyranny, free speech and civil rights.” See his post below and more photos…
