Watch: “Nigeria Is Still Jaga Jaga” – Veteran singer Eedris Abdulkareem reflects on the country’s state of Affairs.

In the 2000s, legendary Nigerian rapper and then Kennis Music act, Eedris Abdulkareem released a monstrous hit titled ‘Nigeria Jaja’, which equally drew bad blood between and the then FG under President Olusegun Obasanjo.
The song ex-rays all the ills in our society, especially on corruption, bad and ineffective leadership, sufferings of the poor masses, etc.

Years later, the Jaga Jaga crooner thinks he has been vindicated going by the current state of the country. This was when the rapper appeared as a guest on Channels TV’s “Rubbin’ Minds” with Ebuka on Channels TV.

In his words: “In 2002 I dropped Nigeria Jaga Jaga, and the ex-president came on the National TV and said that boy wey sing that song, na him papa and him family jaga jaga. I was very happy that my message got to the president. I was very happy that the president talked back at me because that means they were listening and today I’ve been vindicated again because Nigeria is still jaga jaga.”
